Public sector bodies will be able to save time and money thanks to a radical sourcing initiative being launched today by eSourcing experts e-Three.
Using the eSourcing Tender Train, public sector organisations and departments can simultaneously tender for commodity goods in a single project. The Tender Train will increase their ability to save money and take into account individual needs without compromising confidentiality, or losing any decision-making ability.
The eSourcing Tender Train combines the spend of a number of public sector bodies. This process will leverage volume and processes to achieve competitive contracts, culminating in an eAuction enabling the client to achieve optimum pricing for their commodities and services.
e-Three's sourcing initiative is aligned with Sir Peter Gershon's Efficiency Review recommendations. The initiative comes at a time when the Government is pressing hard for all public sector organisations to trim their budgets and take advantage of the benefits eSourcing can bring.
The significant benefits to taking part in the Tender Train include leveraging volume, transferring eSourcing knowledge into the organisation and a lowered overall cost. All of this allows organisations to re-prioritise valuable time in other priority areas enabling procurement professionals to juggle their priorities much more effectively.
Martin Storrs, Project Manager at e-Three comments: "In public sector the key focus is on achieving best value for money. The eSourcing Tender Train is an opportunity for organisations to leverage their spend with other public sector bodies and utilise eSourcing to achieve best market prices."
Clients will benefit from e-Three's eSourcing knowledge and expertise. The e-Three team will co-ordinate the entire process running structured eSourcing projects on a regular annual timeline.
"The eSourcing Tender Train is so called because of the analogy to a train journey." says Storrs, "e-Three will publish a timetable of activity for each commodity. Organisations buy a 'ticket' to board the Tender Train and then travel through each stage, including PQQ, ITT and eAuction. With our seven step, fully OJEU compliant eSourcing process we can demonstrate how eSourcing is an essential tool for any procurement department."
