eSourcing & eAuctions

eSourcing is the process of automating much of the interaction between suppliers and buyers in the sourcing process.  It makes it more efficient, repeatable and effective.

eAuctions are simply the commercial negotiation component of a sourcing process.  Run over short periods of time, they allow suppliers to interact with each other in a 'pure market'.  Suppliers can choose whether or not to place additional bids.  First place does not automatically win the business - this is left to the buyer's discretion.
